PROGRAM
On day 1 we take a look at the Lean principles in an interactive way. The baking process will be demonstrated, and the participants get to bake a first time. Several operational and organisational problems come up. These are studied during a detailed analysis, making use of Lean analysis techniques. This covers the main part of the afternoon.
The first part of day 2 is based on that analysis: where do we see potential for improvement? How can we introduce changes? The participants get a small taste of our proven bottom-up design approach. The proposed improvements are implemented by the participants, turning theory into practice. We will bake pastries a second time and measure the improvements. Finally, we will debrief to summarize the lessons learned and to discuss how this methodology could benefit the participants’ own organisation(s).
